COLOMBO, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Ratnapura, a traditional center for the Sri Lankan gem trade, is located 100km southeast of the country's capital, Colombo. Every morning, traders gather in the opening air gem market in front of the landmark building Clock Tower to sell or buy gemstones. The COVID-19 pandemic wanes in Sri Lanka enable the market to attract a recovering flow of gem trade.
