Shanghai tame Shenzhen in CBA.
QINGDAO, China, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Sharks tamed the Shenzhen Aviators 107-93 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Tuesday, although both teams had been ruled out of the playoffs before the game.
With the biggest score difference only reaching four points, Shanghai took a 27-24 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Thanks to 11 points from guard Luo Hanchen, the Sharks swam ahead by 14 points when the first half expired.
Shenzhen failed to mount further resistance, seeing Shanghai sail to victory. Center Shen Zijie of Shenzhen got a shoulder injury before the last quarter and didn't came back on the court after that.
Ray McCallum got a game-high 31 points and eight rebounds for Shanghai. Luo finished with 23 points, Ju Mingxin had 12 points, and Wang Tong added seven points and 12 rebounds.
On the Shenzhen side, Lu Yiwen collected a team-high 18 points, He Xining contributed 16 points, and Bai Haotian took 15 points. ■
