XI'AN, China, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo Olympic champion Zhu Xueying failed to advance to the women's individual trampoline final at China's National Games here on Saturday, after a fault in the preliminary round.
The 23-year-old only scored 33.835 points in her second routine and missed Monday's individual final.
However, her Tianjin team placed sixth and advanced to the team final.
Liu Lingling, who took the women's trampoline silver at Tokyo 2020, qualified for the individual final after finishing third (103.470 points) in the preliminary. Lin Qianqi of Fujian topped the preliminary round with 104.150, followed by Zhejiang's Fan Xinyi with 103.555.
In the men's qualification, Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Dong Dong and his Shanxi team qualified for the men's individual and team finals respectively.
Dong finished second with 111.975, while Yan Langyu of Hunan topped the qualification with 113.255.
"Although we had to quarantine after the Tokyo Olympics, we had been well trained in recent years and we had a strong system behind us, which helps us to perform well in consecutive major tournaments," Dong told Xinhua.
The men's and women's team finals will take place on Sunday. Enditem
