GAZA, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- The harvest season of dates has arrived in the Palestinian enclave of Gaza strip.
Known as "bread of the desert," dates have been recognized as an energizing staple food for the people living in desert areas. The dates, which are rich in vitamins, minerals, natural sugars, proteins and other nutrients, are easily stored and carried along on long journeys.
