RIYADH, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Season 2021 kicked off in its capital on Wednesday night with a parade.
The parade was organized with more than 1,500 performers in costumes, 2,760 drones, in addition to dance performances.
The season was also launched by fireworks from several locations in Riyadh, while the activities commenced with a concert by renowned singer Pitbull.
The season aims to attract a diverse audience with more than 7,000 events, including music, arts, theater, food and sports. There will be 18 Arabic plays, 70 Arabic concerts, 350 stage performances, 10 international exhibitions and an international cars exhibition and auction.
The season, part of initiatives to promote diversity in the kingdom, will continue until March 2022. Enditem
