SANAA, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Dressing in traditional costumes, around 7,000 grooms participated in a mass wedding in Sanaa. As a tradition, the brides do not make appearance in public during the ceremony.
While the country has been mired deep in conflicts and economic woes, more and more couples find it financially challenging to hold their wedding ceremony. The mass wedding, funded by local charities, is a way to help young couples to get married with an affordable and memorable ceremony.
