BEIRUT, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of Ethiopians marched in Beirut on Sunday to show their support for Ethiopian officials and to oppose U.S. and Western meddling in Ethiopian affairs.
Protesters brandished placards reading "U.S. hands off Ethiopia," "Neo-colonialism will not work in Ethiopia," and "No more Western intervention on the Horn of Africa" as they took to the streets in the capital city of Lebanon.
In late November, the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia issued a caution to its citizens residing in Ethiopia over possible terror attacks in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. Ethiopian government officials, however, later warned the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa and organizations against their continued practice of spreading false information.
