HANGZHOU, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- East China's Zhejiang Province reported 39 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases from 4 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday, said the provincial government.
The confirmed cases were in the cities of Ningbo, Shaoxing and Hangzhou. A total of 460 confirmed cases and one asymptomatic carrier have been reported in the three cities since the latest outbreak beginning Dec. 5, according to a press conference held by the Zhejiang Provincial Government.
So far, about 9.5 million samples of nucleic acid testings have been collected in the three cities. A total of 8,666 close contacts and 31,177 secondary close contacts have been traced in the province. ■
