BRATISLAVA, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Slovan Bratislava will enter the winter break with a four-point lead on top of the Slovak Fortuna Liga standings after a 1-1 draw against MSK Zilina on Sunday.
Slovan Bratislava has not lost a Fortuna Liga match against MSK Zilina since May 2018 and the streak continues after Sunday.
After a solid beginning on both sides, a free-kick pass found Slovan striker Samuel Mraz in the box in the 21st minute and he had no trouble putting his team ahead with a well-placed header.
On 73 minutes, Adam Kopas' long pass found Benson Anang, who exchanged the ball with substitute Jakub Paur and then struck home to level the game at 1-1.
The battle for third place between FC DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda and MFK Ruzomberok saw no winner and no goals scored, while FK Senica beat AS Trencin 1-0 to notch up its third win in a row, which put it back among the top half of the league.
FC Spartak Trnava edged SKF Sered 1-0, MFK Zemplin Michalovce nipped a 1-0 victory against FC ViOn Zlate Moravce, and FK Pohronie drew MFK Tatran Liptovsky Mikulas 2-2.
After the winter break, Fortuna Liga will return on February 12, 2022. Enditem
