RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Internacional have opened talks with Portuguese manager Paulo Sousa about a possible move to the Brazilian Serie A club, according to media reports in the South American country.
The Porto Alegre outfit have made the 51-year-old a top priority and are prepared to offer him a two-year contract, Globo Esporte said on Monday.
Sousa is currently the head coach of Poland's national team but reports said his future beyond the European zone's 2022 World Cup playoffs in March remains unclear.
Internacional have been searching for a manager since parting ways with Uruguayan Diego Aguirre earlier this month.
Sousa is also reportedly being pursued by Flamengo. According to Globo Esporte, Flamengo officials met with Sousa's representatives in Portugal in recent days to discuss the Rio de Janeiro club's vacant managerial position. Enditem
